Also known as The Pitbull of Comedy
Who Bobby Slayton is
Bobby Slayton, known as the Pitbull of Comedy, is a stand-up comedian and actor who has performed his own intense style of comedy for more than thirty years and is often called a comic's comic. He has appeared on The Tonight Show, Politically Incorrect and HBO's Comic Relief, had his own Showtime special, Born to Be Bobby, and released the albums Raging Bully (1998), Built for Destruction and I've Come for Your Children.
On screen he played Joey Bishop opposite Ray Liotta and Joe Mantegna in HBO's The Rat Pack, was a series regular on HBO's The Mind of the Married Man, and had roles in Get Shorty, Ed Wood, Bandits, Dreamgirls, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Home Improvement and Woody Allen's Crisis in Six Scenes, while his gravelly voice has been heard on Dr. Katz and Family Guy. A regular guest on Howard Stern and SiriusXM, he has kept headlining comedy clubs such as Flappers in Burbank, and his track Thinning Out The Herd (Improv 1991) was played on SiriusXM's Raw Dog Comedy channel in June 2021.
