Who Andrew Dismukes is
Andrew Dismukes is a stand-up comedian, writer and cast member of NBC's Saturday Night Live. He started doing stand-up in 2013 as a college freshman in Austin, Texas, where he finished runner-up in Cap City Comedy Club's Funniest Person in Austin contest in 2016.
A New Faces showcase at the Just for Laughs festival in 2017 led to his hiring as an SNL writer that year, work that earned Emmy nominations for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series in 2018 and 2019. He joined the cast in 2020, became a repertory player in 2022, and returns to the road with stand-up during the show's summer breaks, including the 2024 Summer Jobs tour with fellow cast members James Austin Johnson and Devon Walker.
