Who Alan Carr is
Alan Carr is an English stand-up comedian, presenter and comedy actor, born in Weymouth in 1976, who won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2001 as a 24-year-old Manchester comic. From 2006 he co-hosted Channel 4's The Friday Night Project with Justin Lee Collins, and he won Best Live Stand-Up at the British Comedy Awards in 2007 and Best Comedy Entertainment Performer the following year.
His stand-up tours run from Tooth Fairy Live (2007) and Spexy Beast (2010) to Yap, Yap, Yap (2014) and Regional Trinket (2019), two of them released on DVD, and he has played Live at the Apollo and the Royal Variety Performance. His autobiography, Look Who It Is!, came out in 2008, and his newest tour is Have I Said Too Much?, booked into theatres from the London Palladium to Dublin's 3Olympia.
