Tom McCaffrey
Who Tom McCaffrey is
Tom McCaffrey is a stand-up comedian and writer born and raised in Manhattan, who danced on the 56th Academy Awards as a child after Jacques d'Amboise picked him from his elementary school, and was accepted into the drama department of LaGuardia Performing Arts High School. He began doing stand-up in Los Angeles in 1999, and in 2003 Comedy Central chose him for its Laugh Riots national competition, where he won the New York semi-finals and placed third runner-up in the finals.
That year he appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Shorties Watching Shorties, in 2004 the network named him one of its Fresh Faces of Comedy, and in 2005 he hosted its Secret Stash Movie; he was also on the Invite Them Up CD and DVD from Comedy Central Records, VH1's All Access and Animal Planet's The A-List. He has written for The Onion News Network and a monthly humour column for The Comedians, and his albums are Lou Diamond Phillips? (2008) and the single New York Funny (2019).
