Who Sam Nicoresti is
Sam Nicoresti is a trans stand-up comedian from Birmingham, England, known for theatrical, surreal hours about body horror, cosmic dread, frogs and skirt suits. After the solo hours Bedtime, UFO and Cancel Anti Wokeflake Snow Culture she won Leicester Square Theatre's New Comedian of the Year in 2021, released her debut special Wokeflake and was nominated for Best Compere at the 2024 Chortle Awards.
Her second hour Baby Doomer was nominated for Best Show at the 2025 Leicester Comedy Festival and then won Best Comedy Show at the 2025 Edinburgh Comedy Awards; the same year it was long-listed for the (ISH) Edinburgh Comedy Awards and she was nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award for the Act That Should Make a Million Quid. In 2026 Baby Doomer was nominated for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and played the Wells Comedy Festival on 24 May. She started out in the double act Sam & Tom with Tom Burgess and has been part of the comedy collectives The Glang Show and Weirdos.

Their stand-up
Nicoresti began in sketch comedy at the University of Sheffield with the trio Staple/Face, which won Best New Sketch Act at the first So You Think That's Funny? competition in 2013, and the double act Sam & Tom took shows to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017 and 2018. Cancel Anti Wokeflake Snow Culture, a parody of 'edgelord' comedians, had a run at the Soho Theatre in March 2023, and her Edinburgh Comedy Award for Baby Doomer made her the first transgender winner in the awards' history.
