Richie Redding
Who Richie Redding is
Richie Redding is a stand-up comedian, host and keynote speaker based in Jersey City, New Jersey, a University of Pennsylvania graduate with more than twenty years in stand-up whose career began in urban rooms and burlesque shows and whose act is high-energy and autobiographical. In 2012 he was selected for Walter Latham's Comedy After Dark and became a regular on HOT 97, and in 2013 he won the Bermuda International Comedy Competition and made his television debut on AXS TV's Gotham Comedy Live.
Katt Williams hand-picked him in 2014 to host his Growth Spurt Tour and his HBO special Priceless, then made him the feature act on the Born Again, Again Tour, playing arenas such as the Barclays Center, Madison Square Garden and Staples Center, and he has toured South Korea with the USO. His comedy has been seen on HBO, Amazon Prime Video, Fox, NBC and Kevin Hart's LOL Network, he has written and produced for TBS's Surviving Bear Grylls and Roku's America's Real Deal, and he also runs workshops that bring humour into leadership.
His albums are Late Bloomer (800 Pound Gorilla Records, 2018) and Number 1 Album of the Year (2020), and a Late Bloomer track was played on SiriusXM's Raw Dog Comedy channel in May 2023.
