Paul Provenza

Who Paul Provenza is

Paul Provenza is a stand-up comedian, actor, director and producer from the Bronx who made his stand-up debut as a teenager at the Improv in Manhattan and was featured on An Evening at the Improv in an episode hosted by Steve Allen. After a year of training at RADA in London he played a role on Northern Exposure, and he went on to make the documentary The Aristocrats with Penn Jillette and to host The Green Room with Paul Provenza, Showtime's series of unscripted conversations among comics.

He brought Paul Provenza: Myth America (2003) and Talk of the Fest (2006 and 2007) to the Edinburgh Fringe, and co-produced Set List, the show in which comics improvise a stand-up set from topics they see for the first time on stage, at the Fringe and at London's Soho Theatre in 2011.
