Who Meg MacKay is
Meg MacKay is a Canadian stand-up comedian who grew up on Prince Edward Island; reviewing her at the 2018 Toronto Fringe, NOW Magazine called her an up-and-coming stand-up with sly jokes and endearingly awkward delivery. That July she presented her first full-length storytelling show, Meg MacKay: Freelance Witch, directed by Chanty Marostica, at the Tarragon Solo Room. Her albums Probably a Witch (2020) and Clown Baby (2023) came out on Howl & Roar Records, and a set of hers appeared on Just for Laughs' Select compilation series in 2023. The title track of Probably a Witch was played on SiriusXM's Raw Comedy channel in November 2023.
