Who Matthias Egersdörfer is

Matthias Egersdörfer is a German Kabarettist, actor and writer, born in 1969, who won the Hamburger Comedy Pokal in 2007, ahead of Moritz Netenjakob and Marc-Uwe Kling. His solo stage programmes include Nachrichten aus dem Hinterhaus (2021–22), directed by Claudia Schulz, and Langsam (2026), which goes with his book of the same name, and since 2012 he has staged the Carmen series with Claudia Schulz and Andy Maurice Müller, whose third part, Carmen oder Worte, die das Herz berühren, opened at the Lustspielhaus in Munich in 2026.

On screen he has played Michael Schatz of the forensics unit in the Franconian Tatort on Das Erste, and he co-wrote the novel Das Lachen des Grünspechts (2023) with Lothar Gröschel.
