Matt O'Brien
Who Matt O'Brien is
Matt O'Brien is a Canadian stand-up comedian from Ontario, now based in Los Angeles, whose silly, high-energy observational comedy finds humour in Los Angeles the way only an outsider can. His stand-up has earned him gala spots at the Just for Laughs festival, and Time Out named him one of its comedians to watch in 2019.
His albums run from Live in a Basement in Front of 20 People (2014) and Live in a Comedy Club in Front of 150 People (2018) to King of Kirkland, his hour about his love of Costco, which he recorded as a special at Dynasty Typewriter in Los Angeles in July 2024; the album came out that October, and its track Farmers Markets and Farms was played on SiriusXM's Raw Comedy channel that December. In 2025 he auditioned for the twentieth season of NBC's America's Got Talent and earned four yes votes from the judges.
