Martin Amini

Who Martin Amini is

Martin Amini is a stand-up comedian based in Washington, D.C., born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, to an Iranian father and a Bolivian mother; his act draws on that background and on marriage, and his crowd work often turns into on-stage matchmaking. He got his start filming and promoting shows on the tour of his cousin, comedian Max Amini, and in 2021 he founded Room 808, a comedian-run club in D.C.'s Petworth neighborhood. His debut special, I'm Transcending, filmed at the Lincoln Theatre and directed by Erik Griffin, came out on YouTube in 2024, and he hosts The Martin Amini Show on YouTube.
