Who Marcus Brigstocke is
Marcus Brigstocke is a stand-up comedian who started out at Bristol University in the troupe Club Seals, with Danny Robins and Dan Tetsell, and won the BBC New Comedian Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 1996. Brigstocke fronted BBC Four's Late Edition, starred in the BBC One sitcom The Savages, has been a regular on Radio 4's The Now Show and created the character Giles Wemmbley Hogg, who starred in two Radio 4 series.
Brigstocke's Edinburgh Fringe hours run from Planet Corduroy (2004), released on DVD in 2007, and God Collar (2009), also the title of a 2011 book, to Devil May Care (2018), Absolute Shower (2022), Cheese and Whine (2023) and Vitruvian Mango (2025), with tours of Devil May Care in 2017 and Vitruvian Mango in 2025.
