Who Julie Kim is

Julie Kim is a Canadian stand-up comedian and writer, born and raised in Toronto and now based in Vancouver, who has performed at Just for Laughs in Montreal and the Winnipeg and Halifax comedy festivals, with several televised sets, and is a regular performer on CBC's The Debaters. She toured North America with Ronny Chieng on his Hope You Get Rich Tour in 2021 and 2022, playing 40 theatre shows, and made her Melbourne International Comedy Festival debut in 2023. As a writer she received a Canadian Screen Award in 2023, has written for Kim's Convenience, Run the Burbs and Still Standing, and wrote and produced for Simu Liu when he hosted the Juno Awards in 2022 and 2023.
