John Morgan, billed as the "Ragin Cajun", is a stand-up comedian born and raised in New Orleans, one of nine children, who found his gift for comedy while earning degrees in English, political science and interpersonal communications at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He has worked steadily in comedy clubs, at corporate events and in music arenas, made national television appearances on MTV, Showtime and Night Watch with Charlie Rose, and opened for Kathleen Madigan, Jerry Seinfeld, Michael Bolton and Helen Reddy. His high-energy act takes everyday life, from marriage and children to makeup, and spins it with Southern charm, and he also works as a motivational speaker. In October 2026 he headlines the Comedy Cabana in Myrtle Beach (13–17 October) and the Loony Bin in Tulsa (30–31 October).
