Who Jay Larson is
Jay Larson is a stand-up comedian, storyteller, writer and director with more than twenty years on stage, best known for his 'Wrong Number' story, which went viral, reached number one on Reddit and was featured on This American Life. He has made multiple appearances on The Late Late Show and four on Conan, had his own half-hour special on Comedy Central and told stories on its This Is Not Happening, and he has three hour-long specials on YouTube: Me Being Me, Sounds Like Bruce and Here We Go Again.
He released his first album, Self Diagnosed, on AST Records in 2011, co-hosted two seasons of Esquire Network's Best Bars in America and the podcast The CrabFeast, and acted in The Invitation and Showtime's Twin Peaks. He ran the writers' room of The Conor Moore Show on GolfPass for three seasons, and in March 2026 he was one of the 100 most-played acts on SiriusXM's Raw Comedy channel, ranked sixteenth.
