Who Jay Hollingsworth is

Jay Hollingsworth, known on stage as Big Irish Jay, is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer from the Pacific Northwest who moved east and honed his craft on the stages of Boston. His 'charmingly brutal' style won him first place in the March Comedy Madness competition and The Best of Boston, and he was a finalist in the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition.

A regular in sketches for Russell Simmons' All Def Digital, he has also appeared on Amazon's Laugh After Dark, and his clips have drawn more than 150 million views online. He has been a guest on podcasts including Robert Kelly's You Know What Dude, Greg Fitzsimmons' Fitzdog Radio, Doug Loves Movies and The Benson Interruption, and his track Black For One Day was played on SiriusXM's Raw Comedy channel in September 2024.
