Who Jay Black is

Jay Black is a stand-up comedian, screenwriter and producer from New Jersey who taught high school English before leaving the classroom for stand-up. He has played nearly 1,000 universities and has been named College Comedian of the Year three times and College Performer of the Year, has headlined stages from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to the Tropicana in Atlantic City, has been a regular opening act for Kevin Nealon, and toured Europe as host of the U.S. Army's I Am Strong tour.

With his writing partner, director Brian Herzlinger, he has written and produced films including How Sweet It Is with Joe Piscopo, Meet My Valentine with Scott Wolf, the holiday film Love Always, Santa and the thriller Psycho Storm Chaser. His albums are Press "F" to Pay Respects (Helium Comedy Records, 2020) and I Don't Want to Be Here Either. (2021), whose track My Wife Doesn't Do That was played on SiriusXM's Raw Dog Comedy channel in February 2023.
