Who Harry Hill is
Harry Hill is an English stand-up comedian, writer and presenter, born in Woking in 1964, who trained as a doctor before making his comedy debut at the 1992 Edinburgh Fringe, where he won the Perrier best newcomer prize. After comedy series for BBC Two and Channel 4 he created TV Burp for ITV, which ran for eleven years from 2001, followed by Alien Fun Capsule, Harry Hill's Tea-Time and Harry Hill's World of TV, and he is the long-standing voice of ITV's You've Been Framed and co-host of Channel 4's Junior Bake Off.
His stand-up tours run from Wild Horses (2002) and Sausage Time (2012) to Pedigree Fun (2021) and New Bits & Greatest Hits (2024), and he has played the Birmingham Comedy Festival. He has written children's books including Tim the Tiny Horse and the Matt Millz novels, the memoir Fight!: Thirty Years Not Quite at the Top (2021) and How to Be Silly Every Day of the Year, hosts a weekly video podcast, The Harry Hill Show, and has shown his paintings at the Royal Academy.
