Who Evelyn Mok is
Evelyn Mok is a Swedish-Chinese stand-up comedian who works in Sweden and the UK. She was named Rookie of the Year at the Swedish Stand-up Gala in 2012, placed third in Leicester Square Theatre's New Comedian of the Year in 2014, and in 2017 was nominated at the Swedish gala for Best Show and Female Comedian of the Year, the same year her Edinburgh Fringe debut won a Pleasance Indie Award and gave the Guardian one of its top ten jokes of the Fringe.
In Sweden she is a television regular on SVT, including Bäst i test, Överlevarna and IFS - Invandrare för svenskar, and in the UK she has appeared in the BBC's Drop the Dead Panda and was nominated for a Royal Television Society North West award for comedy performance in 2023. She also acts in film, including The Dance Club.
