Who Eddie Brill is
Eddie Brill is an American stand-up comedian who for seventeen years was the audience warm-up comic for The Late Show with David Letterman, eleven of them as the show's stand-up comedy talent coordinator, and who made ten appearances on The Late Show himself. He has taped more than a hundred television shows in six countries, including an Emmy-nominated episode of FX's Louie, won three MAC Awards as Outstanding Male Comic in New York, and has performed stand-up in 46 states and in England, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, Canada, France, Holland, Dhaka and Hong Kong.
He was the architect and, for its first ten years, the creative director of the Great American Comedy Festival, which honours Johnny Carson in his home town of Norfolk, Nebraska; he also ran New York's Paper Moon comedy club, helped create the Emerson Comedy Workshop at Emerson College, founded in 1976, and teaches a stand-up comedy workshop.
