He records his stand-up for Metal Blade Records: Communication Breakdown (2017) was recorded at the Funny Stop in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Denim & Laughter (2020), a parody of Saxon's Denim and Leather, before a small crowd in a Los Angeles speakeasy. Their stand-up

That Metal Show ran on VH1 Classic for 14 seasons, from 15 November 2008 to 9 May 2015, and Rolling Stone named it one of the 50 best reasons to watch TV. Don Jamieson's first three albums all reached the iTunes top 20 and the Billboard comedy top ten, and his album covers parody classic records by Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin and Saxon.

He has played rock festivals including Rock on the Range, the Monsters of Rock Cruise and Metallica's Orion Music + More, where Lars Ulrich introduced him, has written jokes for Lisa Lampanelli and spent many years as Andrew Dice Clay's opening act, and with Jim Florentine made the Terrorizing Telemarketers prank call recordings heard on The Howard Stern Show.
