Derek Richards
Who Derek Richards is
Derek Richards is a stand-up comedian whose fast, fresh act draws on his blue-collar upbringing, the holidays and dating. A veteran of several USO tours, he was one of the first comedians to perform at the U.S. base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, a tour that earned him national coverage in Newsweek, and he has also played U.S. bases in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Africa.
He has been heard on XM Satellite Radio and on the syndicated Bob and Tom Show and Bob and Sheri, and was featured on The Weather Channel's Top 10. His albums run from Sensitivity Training (2002) to 60 MPH School Zone (2016) and Double Down (On Tour Records, 2021), and two tracks from Sensitivity Training were played on SiriusXM's Raw Dog Comedy channel in February 2023.
