Who Danny Bhoy is
Danny Bhoy is a Scottish stand-up comedian from Edinburgh who began performing in 1998 and a year later won The Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award, the UK's biggest national competition for new comics. He brought his first solo show to the Edinburgh Festival in 2001 and has returned eleven times, and in 2014 his Fringe run 12 Nights 12 Charities raised £75,000 for causes in his home town.
Abroad he first played the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2003, was one of the two international names on the bill of the first Brisbane Comedy Festival in 2009, and toured Age of Fools across Australia, New Zealand and Canada in 2019; on television he has played Live at the Apollo three times, The Late Show with David Letterman and Just for Laughs galas in Canada. His recordings include Live at the Festival Theatre (2012) and Mr Priority, filmed at London's Bloomsbury Theatre in June 2023 from his tour show Now Is Not a Good Time.
