Who Cindy aus Marzahn is
Cindy aus Marzahn is the stage character of the German comedian Ilka Bessin, born in 1971 in Luckenwalde, Brandenburg, who created the cheerful Berliner in her pink tracksuit in the early 2000s and became one of Germany's most successful comedians. In 2005 Cindy won the trophy at the Quatsch Comedy Club's Hot Shot newcomer competition in Berlin, the start of her career on stage. Bessin retired the character in 2016 and told her own story in the book Out of Marzahn - Das wahre Leben von Ilka Bessin, then brought Cindy back from autumn 2024 with a twentieth-anniversary tour of twenty dates, followed by the revival show Einmal Prinzessin und zurück!
