Who Allan Havey is

Allan Havey is a stand-up comedian and actor, born in St. Louis in 1954 and raised in Miami, who started out in New York in 1981 at the Improv, Catch A Rising Star, Caroline's and the Comedy Cellar and made his national television debut on Late Night with David Letterman in 1986, returning to Letterman's shows nine more times. From 1989 to 1992 Havey hosted, wrote and produced Night After Night with Allan Havey on The Comedy Channel, and his two HBO specials, One Night Stand and Command Performance, were nominated for CableACE Awards.

Havey has done stand-up across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe, at the Edinburgh Festival in 2018 and at Just for Laughs in Montreal, and still plays the Improv in Hollywood and the Comedy Cellar; as an actor Havey played Lou Avery in Mad Men and Karl Allerd in Billions, appears in Peacock's The Paper, and has had parts in Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm and the Coen brothers' Hail, Caesar!
