Who Ali Clayton is
Ali Clayton is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer and podcaster from the South, a former pageant kid who has been performing comedy for more than a decade and is based in Brooklyn, New York. Her stand-up has been featured on VICE's Funny How? and on SiriusXM, and with fellow Southern queer comedian Ever Mainard she co-hosts the podcast Y'all Gay?, which Vulture named one of the top five comedy podcasts of 2022 for its Southern charm. Her debut album, Country Queer, came out on Blonde Medicine on 31 May 2024, and two of its tracks, Trailer Park of the Sea and Nobody Here is Gay, were played on SiriusXM's Raw Comedy channel in July and December 2024.

Their stand-up
Clayton started her comedy career on the South Side of Chicago; she is an alumna of the Actors Theatre of Louisville's Acting Apprentice Program and a graduate of the Second City Conservatory, was named a Carolines on Broadway Breakout Artist and was a top finalist in the StandUP NBC competition. Country Queer, released on vinyl as well as digitally, drew praise from Roy Wood Jr., who called her humor 'warm and relatable'.
