Who Alexander Bennett is

Alexander Bennett is a stand-up comedian and solo show performer whose shows mix stand-up with interactive theatre and music, and who plays London's Soho Theatre and comedy clubs across the UK. His Edinburgh Fringe hours include I Can't Stand The Man, Myself (2023), shortlisted for the Amused Moose Comedy Award and brought to Soho Theatre in 2024, and Emotional Daredevil (2024), which toured in 2025, and the earlier specials Alexander Bennett's Terrifying Smile (2019) and Housewive's Favourite (2020) came out through NextUp Comedy and Comedy Dynamics.

He co-writes the game show Hell To Play, a cult fringe hit since 2015, performs with the collective Consignia, nominated for a Leicester Comedy Festival award, has been heard on BBC Radio 4 and 5 Live, and hosts the Chortle Award-nominated podcast Born Yesterday.
