Who Wali Collins is

Wali Collins is a New York City stand-up comedian born in Springfield, Massachusetts, a drummer in R&B, funk and jazz bands who set aside architecture for comedy and was asked back weekly as a featured act after his first time on stage. He moved to New York to host Comedy Central's Stand-up Stand-up, warmed up audiences for David Letterman and performed stand-up on the Late Show with David Letterman, and his stand-up has aired on NBC, CBS, FOX, HBO, ABC's The View, Comedy Central's Tough Crowd and VH1's Commentary.

On screen he has had roles in Netflix's The Get Down, Hulu's Difficult People and the films Top Five, Coyote Ugly and Submission, and he has appeared in more than fifty national and international commercials. Nominated three years running as College Campus Entertainer of the Year and known for a clean, clever style, he hosts and performs for corporate audiences and has worked with Presidents Bush and Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. Dry Bar Comedy's channel carries his set Some Baby Names are TOO MUCH (2026), and his own YouTube channel is WAIT. WHAT?! with Wali.
