Sophie van Rheinlanden

Who Sophie van Rheinlanden is

Sophie van Rheinlanden is a comedian, Kabarett performer and host from Cologne's Südstadt whose act moves between stand-up, cabaret with a point of view and the absurdity of everyday life, with sharp punchlines and affectionate exaggeration. She also performs Büttenrede, the Rhineland's carnival speech, hosts on Cologne's stages, carnival included, and has played comedy nights such as Wohl bekloppt geworden at the Atelier Theater and Kunst gegen Bares at the artheater. Her podcast Bis der Nubbel brennt talks to figures from Cologne's carnival scene, and her format Mädche vum Rhing to women from the city.
