Who Pardis Parker is
Pardis Parker is a Canadian stand-up comedian, writer and filmmaker whose stand-up clips have been viewed more than 100 million times. A six-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee, he has been a contributing correspondent and writer for CBC's This Hour Has 22 Minutes, a frequent guest on Comedy Central's @midnight, and the creator of Mideast Minute for Comedy Central; his half-hour series Free and Uncivil were sold to Amazon Prime and NBC. He has given stand-up talks at TED2021 and TED2022 and guest-hosted TED2023.
His short films Afghan, The Dance and Two Men, Two Cows, Two Guns have won dozens of festival awards, among them Best of Just For Laughs and the Boston Comedy Festival Audience Award, and his writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times and McSweeney's.
