Martha Chaves is a Nicaraguan-Canadian stand-up comedian based in Toronto and a sought-after headliner at clubs, festivals, fundraisers and corporate events. She has played Just for Laughs in Montreal a dozen times, along with the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and the We Are Funny That Way festival, and has two national specials, Something About Martha on CTV and The Comedy Network and Comics! on CBC. She is often heard on CBC Radio's The Debaters and Laugh Out Loud, is a cast member of CBC's Because News and the voice of Vero on Rosie's Rules, has released the comedy albums Chunky Salsa and Latina Interrumpida, and in 2023 was named by TLN one of the ten most influential Hispanic Canadians.
