Who Garron Chiu is
Garron Chiu is an American-born stand-up comedian based in Hong Kong and a mainstay of the city's comedy scene. He won the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition in 2018, was featured on the second season of Comedy Central's Stand Up Asia!, and has performed in 37 cities across 18 countries, mostly in Asia, sharing bills with Jim Gaffigan, Hannibal Buress, Ari Shaffir, Roy Wood Jr. and Alonzo Bodden. His material takes on whether he is too Asian or not Asian enough, and in April 2026 he was on the bill of Comedy.HK's 14th anniversary showcase in Hong Kong.
