Who Franco Nguyen is
Franco Nguyen is a Vietnamese-Canadian comedian and filmmaker based in Toronto who works in stand-up, sketch and improv. A graduate of The Second City's long-form conservatory, a Bob Curry Fellow who showcased at the NBC Universal Breakout Festival in Chicago and a Tim Sims Encouragement Award finalist, he is a member of the sketch troupe TallBoyz II Men, which took the Producer's Pick at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival and Best Newcomers at Montreal's Sketchfest in 2017, and starred in CBC Gem's TallBoyz. He also made the one-person show Soaring in Liquid Skies, which mixes video and live performance, and brought his stand-up to the Asian Comedy All-Stars showcase in January 2020.
