David McSavage

Also known as Dave McSavage

Who David McSavage is

David McSavage is an Irish stand-up comedian who began as a street performer in Dublin with a guitar and has been making audiences laugh for more than two decades, often musing at the guitar between tangents; the Irish Independent has called him the comedian's comedian. He created The Savage Eye, the sketch show that ran for four seasons on RTÉ from 2009 to 2014, and on screen played Bishop Garret Montgomery in the film Calvary (2014), with roles in Channel 4's The Virtues and the series Catch-22. At the Edinburgh Fringe he brought Perrier Schmerrier (2006) and Review This (2007), and in 2020 he opened his stand-up show Poor Me and the Bastards at Dublin's Olympia Theatre.
