Who Sheryl Underwood is

Sheryl Underwood is a stand-up comedian, actress and television host from Little Rock, Arkansas, who first came to national notice in 1989 as the first female finalist in the Miller Lite Comedy Search. She performed on Def Comedy Jam, hosted BET's Comic View and was named BET's Funniest Female Comedian on Comic View in 1994. From 2011 to 2024 she co-hosted the CBS daytime talk show The Talk, becoming its longest-running co-host, and she received a Daytime Emmy Award in 2017. In 2026 she was a roaster on Netflix's The Roast of Kevin Hart; she is the founder of Pack Rat Productions, which presents her I Need A Job comedy tour.
