Russell Peters is a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor and producer from Toronto, now living in Los Angeles, known for comedy about race, culture and his Anglo-Indian upbringing. A 2004 Comedy Now! special that spread on YouTube made his name, and in 2013 he became the first comedian to get a Netflix stand-up special with Notorious, followed by Almost Famous (2016) and Deported (2020) on Prime Video. He also produced the Peabody-winning series Hip-Hop Evolution and has hosted the Juno Awards.
