Willie Barcena
Who Willie Barcena is
Willie Barcena is a stand-up comedian and road warrior of more than twenty years whose twelve appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno are among the most for any comedian and the most for any Latino comedian; Leno also invited him to perform for the troops in Afghanistan. Before comedy he worked as a security guard, plumber, roofer and limo driver, jobs that feed his humour about everyday life. He has appeared on Moesha and The Wayans Bros., hosted Si TV's Latino Laugh Festival - The Show, and toured with Que Locos, the Latino Laugh Festival, Just for Laughs and the Crown Royal Latin All Stars Comedy Explosion.
He followed his one-hour Comedy Central special with the Showtime special I Gotta Be Honest and a special on Netflix, wrote and performed the one-man show Cry Like a Man, and spent two years on The Morning Show on KSFM 102.5 in Sacramento. His albums include Down to Earth (2012) and Sharing Thoughts (2023), he hosts the podcast Willie Barcena's Drop In, and his stand-up was played on SiriusXM's Raw Dog Comedy channel in October 2022.
