Sam Tallent, raised in Elizabeth, Colorado, started in 2008 by traveling the American West and Midwest to play small venues in rural towns, and since 2010 has toured North America, Asia, Australia and Europe.

His first special, Waiting for Death to Claim Us, was the last comedy special filmed before the COVID lockdown and was named among the top 10 specials of 2021 by Decider and Interrobang; he has played Just for Laughs in Montreal and SXSW.
