Derrick Stroup

Who Derrick Stroup is

Derrick Stroup is a stand-up comedian from Alabama who tells detailed, high-energy stories with the cadence of an auctioneer, and whose debut Netflix special Nostalgic (2026), filmed at the Lyric Theatre in his home state and built on growing up as a '90s kid in rural Alabama, reached Netflix's U.S. Top 10.

He made his late-night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2023 and has returned to it twice, performs at New York's Comedy Cellar, headlines clubs and has toured with Bert Kreischer, Larry the Cable Guy, John Crist and Nate Bargatze, appearing in Bargatze's 2024 Christmas special. His albums are Yelling My Feelings (Dry Bar Comedy) and Eating Dinner Twice (both 2024); a track from Eating Dinner Twice was among the most-heard on SiriusXM's Raw Comedy channel in March 2025, and in September 2026 he was among the 100 most-played acts on Sebastian Maniscalco's Comedy Radio.
